Post-Hearing Meeting with SecWar & CJCS
CGI following a Senate Appropriations Committee–Defense (SAC-D) hearing, meeting with the Secretary of War and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Embassy of the Republic of Poland
CGI met with General Krzysztof Nolbert, Defense, Military, Naval and Air Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the strong U.S.–Poland defense relationship, Poland's evolving national security priorities, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the U.S. and Polish defense sectors.
250 Years of Polish–American Friendship
CGI was represented at the Polish Embassy's celebration of 250 years of U.S.–Polish friendship and a reception in honor of the 280th anniversary of General Tadeusz Kosciuszko's birthday, meeting with Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski.
Veterans for Ukraine: Transatlantic Support for Peace & Democracy
CGI attended the European Union Embassy's roundtable and reception for Veterans for Ukraine: Transatlantic Support for Peace and Democracy — an auspicious event supporting our allies and partners. It was great to see bipartisan Congressional support for Ukraine during this time of crisis, with former colleagues from Congress in attendance: Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), and Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC). BCIU Roundtable: Coalition Capabilities
CGI was represented at the Business Council for International Understanding's roundtable discussion on Coalition Capabilities to Enable a Coordinated Allied and Partner Response at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. A great discussion with many DC-based foreign military attachés on an apropos topic — despite the United States' significant reliance on partners and allies since 9/11, there is still significant work to do to enable partners to ably support U.S. military operations globally.
Reconnecting with the Italian Air Force
CGI met with Lieutenant General Luca Goretti, Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force and a former colleague. The engagement provided an opportunity to strengthen longstanding relationships and discuss the importance of continued U.S.–Italian defense cooperation and transatlantic security.
